Rotary Moment: Club member Gordon B. recently returned from a trip to China and told us a little about Rotary there. Gordon spoke about two Rotary Clubs in China, one in Beijing and one in Shanghai and noted there are also two Rotary Fellowship groups in the country as well. Speaking about the RC Shanghai Gordon mentioned that the Speakers program is very good and the topic of corruption is a popular one. The Rotary Fellowship groups' members are mostly expatriate foreigners.

Chris spoke to us today about exploring the limits of social media and how this can be of benefit to the Club. Over the past while Chris has been creating an on-line presence for our Club on Twitter and FaceBook. These formats are an excellent way to network and communicate, they can be used very effectively to spread the work about Rotary projects and programs. Chris gave a demonstration of our Clubs' FaceBook group and described the various aspects of the platform, their forms, functions and utilities. In a very effective demonstration Chris pointed out how the program can be used to spread the word about our Club and its' projects and how the data can be tracked, sorted, measured and interpreted. Chris notes that all the data can then be used for planning and marketing in a very effective way.
President Robert thanked Chris for all his work developing our on-line program.
50/50/happy/sad/fines: no winners, no losers.
Meeting adjourned.
