President Robert welcomed one and all to breakfast.

Club Treasurer Ted M. made a brief presentation on Club Finances:

The Club carried a surplus of funds from last year over to the current Rotary year, all financials are in good order with a $14000.00 carry over from 2012-2013, and our aim this year is to raise $40000.00.

The Rotary Club of West Vancouver presents Park Royal VP Rick Amatea as their Guest Speaker Sep. 3rd at the Capilano Towers,meeting begins at 6:15pm.

The annual Gran Fondo Cycle event from Vancouver to Whistler takes place Sep. 7th this year.

Rotary Learning Institute modules 1, 2 and 3 will be presented September 28th in Burnaby, venue and times will be provided as the date approaches.

The 9th annual Rotary Africa Project Fair will take place Oct. this year in Togo, Rotarians will be travelling to the African nation to continue the fight against Poliomyelitis. Details provided on request.

The Club will hold a membership drive/social event at the West Van Yacht Club Oct. 2nd. Bring friends and prospective members to the Beer and Bratwurst Oktoberfest. See Vicki H. or Karen H. for details.

Michael is meeting with reps from the CDN. Wheelchair Society to discuss a wheelchair accessibility project.

Club Board meeting: this years' budget was approved, please forward all budget requests to President Rober. The Club will be participating in the West Vancouver Remembrance day celebration. The Board has approved the purchase of a Club camera. The Club will not be participating in the Alberta flood relief project. The Club will cover members' cost for the upcoming RLI session (Accent Inn Burnaby, Sep 28th). Club policies will be codified and published.

50/50/happy/sad/fines: Mark F. won the 50/50 draw, we paid our fines and contributed to Happy/Sad.
